I met with Kristen at a cozy coffee shop last November and we quickly bonded over our mutual love of potatoes, breakfast food, and Parks and Rec. As she told me all about how her and Tyler met, how he asked for her parent's blessing before he proposed, and how proud she was of him for enlisting in the Army Ranger Training Program, it wasn't hard to see just how deep their love ran. Kristen and Tyler are a pretty incredible couple, in my opinion. They were actually married at a courthouse last September, just to make things official before Tyler went away for training. How romantic is that? I can only imagine how overwhelming and stressful it must have been trying to plan a wedding around Tyler's uncertain Christmas leave, but Kristen handled the entire ordeal with grace, and I just knew their wedding would be one for the books!
As the morning of the big day finally rolled around, I was greeted with nothing by smiling faces and good vibes. Everyone seemed genuinely excited for these two to finally have a day to celebrate their love with the people closest to them. Kristen and Tyler just radiate joy, and their easy-going chemistry made it easy to forget how cold it was outside (under 30 degrees, ya'll). And their wedding party? Total troopers. It's important to choose your tribe wisely, and Kristen and Tyler definitely chose wisely.
I sincerely hope I was able to capture the love, joy, and happiness that surrounded this special day. Here are just a few of my favorites.
This photo from their first look just makes me melt
We just had to recreate this photo from Kristen's older sister's wedding - except for this time, it was Kristen's turn to be the bride!
What happens when you tell the groomsmen to give the groom some 'bro love'
Kristen made such a stunning bride!
Could these two be any more perfect? So. much. happiness
After we had finished thawing out, it was time for the ceremony. Kristen and Tyler wrote their own vows, and I'm not ashamed to say I teared up from behind the camera as they read them aloud in front of their closest friends and family. It was such a special ceremony, and I think everyone in the room could sense the sincerity of their promises to one another.
