Every since Adam and Grace agreed to meet me for milkshakes in the middle of October to discuss wedding plans - I just knew we were going to get along swimmingly.
As their engagement session rolled around, Indiana decided to throw us one heck of a weather curveball in the form of a pretty intense rainstorm. But that didn't stop them from laughing it off and rocking some quick Notebook-esque photos. After about 10 minutes we decided to call it, dry off, and get some TGI Fridays. Have I ever mentioned how much I love TGI Fridays??
We talked more about how they met at Ball State, Grace's adventures as an Elementary School Teacher, their love of marching band, Adam's romantic Canal Walk proposal, and shared about a hundred laughs in-between (not to mention some delicious appetizers). By the end of it, I felt like I was meeting with old friends.
We tried for round 2 the next day, and thankfully we were greeted with clear skies and warm(ish) sun. We walked along the canal on the same path they took the day Adam popped the question, being sure to take plenty of photos on the bridge where she said yes.
I really can't stress enough about how fun these two were to photograph. Their endless smiles and warm energy made it easy to forget that it was barely 15 degrees outside. Adam was a pro at making Grace laugh and I honestly don't think they stopped smiling the entire time. Their joy was utterly contagious and I simply cannot wait for their wedding this June!
I hope you enjoy some of my favorite photos from their Indianapolis Canal Walk engagement session!
This is probably my favorite photo of the day. Their faces crack me up. I swear this wasn't rehearsed.
